My Girl Baily

Just a short post to give you an update on my granddaughter. She is still in ICU at Children's in Dallas. She started out with the flu which turned into pneumonia. Her left lung collapsed and her O2 levels dropped to a critical level. When they tried to transport her to Children's Medical both lungs were flooded with fluid and her O2 dropped to 30% at that point they had to return to the ER in Athens.Children's sent for their ambulance which had a better ventilator and were able to transport her to Dallas. She is still critical but there is some slight improvement in her condition and her O2 is at 96% with the help of the ventilator. I can't say enough about The staff at Children's and the care they are taking with Baily. I was surprised and happy to see a Canton customer and friend who is a nurse in the ICU at Children's. I feel better knowing she will keep an eye on our girl. I just want to thank everyone for keeping Baily in their prayers. Your support means a lot.

Hey Lillie, am thankful that there has been some improvement. She remains in my prayers and all of you! My granddaughter spent alot of time at Children's when she was having so much trouble w/ her asthma when she was younger. Altho, we didn't want to be there, our experience w/ Children's was always a good one. Am glad there is someone there you know.

Lillie, we had a very similar situation with our granddaughter, Ashlei earlier this year. She was diagnosed at Athens hospital and then transported to Children's via ambulance. She was there for over two weeks. The had to put a chest tube in. She did better immediately. Children's Hospital is the BEST!

Baily and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
